[Washoku 和食] or Japanese cuisine has been chosen in UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Masamune proudly serves genuine and authentic Japanese cuisine and sushi and would like to prove why we are different from other conventional Japanese restaurants or sushi bars run by non-Japanese owners in the market.
On December 1st, 2013, as far as my memory is concerned, this was the beginning of the epic story when two chefs executed their amazing talents and skills over Japanese food in South Florida. It was all about their spirits about how they wanted their local people to know what authentic Japanese cuisine is to differentiate their businesses from other conventional Japanese restaurant businesses, which are not owned by Japanese, that have flourished in the market in these days. They have definitely made the judges realize the genuine taste of Japan and sushi. It was a prelude and and will become a legend to be continued....... The IRON CHEF PROJECT HAS JUST STARTED!!!
For the next challenging event, We are going to host this fun event with another Sushi Bar Gaysha New World in Wilson Manors.
Both of Masamune Fort Lauderdale restaurant and Gaysha New World will feature a chef from each and let them compete against each other over OMAKASE (chef's choice) style of a course of a salad, an appetizer, and sushi in 2 rounds of HOME and GUESTS.
We will invite 11 guests with a charge of $50 per person (excludes tax and drinks) for this event and let them vote for the winner of the battle.
The winner chef will receive $100 cash reward.
Wanna join this exciting event at the site? We will shoot this at 12pm on December 1st, Sunday. The location will be announced as soon as the decision is made.
Advanced ticket purchase only for reservation. The seats will be booked very quickly, because both of the restaurants promote this event at same time.
Please feel free to contact Yoshi at 954-563-2888 for further information.
Mike did It again! The magic show that Mike created to entertain our guest was more than our expectation. Those new customers truly appreciated this event because they were able to sample out most of our signature rolls in the menu on one time visit. Exciting is that they now expects us more things than what they found in the menu! Our flexibility to customize the dishes the way our guests like based on their preference is something that they have never experienced at the other sushi joints. Please rely on us serving genuine JAPANESE food!
Have you tried AUTHENTIC/GENUINE Japanese food before? We are not talking about sushi or rolls. Majority of Japanese cuisine is cooked food. As a Japanese restaurant, we would like to introduce true Japanese cuisine and taste to the neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale. Here are some pictures and a YouTube video from the last lunch event called Omakase, which means chef's choice. We host this kind of event occasionally, so please enroll yourself in the mailing list and you won't miss these cool opportunities!
Have you heard of this word at Japanese restaurant? In Japanese, it means I leave it up to you, chef. In occasions, one mentions it as roll omakase, sushi omakase, or anything. You can just specify it to the chef within your budget.
On Sundays, Yoshi, our Japanese chef would like to welcome those guests who are looking for authentic Japanese food/sushi. Most of the time, he will prepare dishes ahead of time, because certain dishes take hours to make. If you are up for something new and unique or dishes off the menu, Yoshi is the man of genuine Japanese taste. He can recommend a great sake or wine to be paired with his dishes.

Heart of Japan
Pick Up from This is the one of the best seller specialty roll. There is thin slice tuna on top of the roll and another extra tuna inside with cooked shellfish with Heart shape.
We know any other Japanese Restaurant have Lobster Roll. Well…. Try our Lobster roll and say what you think!!! We can guaranty you will love it. We put extra Lobster breaded deep fried pieaces on the side of dish with our original sweet spicy sauce with crispy shredded crab stick. You can taste Lobster inside of the roll and indivisualy as well!!
One of the most popular food in Japan has been getting big in the major cities such as NYC, Chicago, Honolulu, and LA. We prepare our Ramen soup just like the way it is in Japan. It takes hours to make rich and sound flavored broth out of chicken, pork, and vegetables. Miso and Soy are what your choice for the soup. Served with house-made pork slices, sweet corns, spinach, and dry seaweed.
Japanese and Mediterranean fav dishes combined into healthy, yet uniquely delicious taste. Dip fried wonton chips with it, and it becomes a great starter with beer or wine.
Once you try it, you will be addicted! One of the popular dishes in our menu. Its the sauce that makes this crab cake taste so yummy. Butter-Yaki sauce is a rich and creamy sauce that you may want to lick out out the dish:)
Our number one priority is to satisfy each guest with not only our sushi, sashimi, tempura and teriyaki, but also with our hospitality.
We offer a wide range of traditional Japanese dishes along with mind-blowing Sushi and Kitchen creations. Let our experienced and innovative chefs design a magnificent meal for you and your family all while being in the care of our lively and hospitable wait staff. Whether it's traditional fare, Sushi or Tempura you crave, we can handle your hunger and give you several reasons to keep coming back for more.
